Planning: Opening scene narration - Miss Begum
The scene begins with shaky a point of view shot of the opening credits which are created with magazine cut outs, starting with director. As the scene progresses the other production roles are shown with hand held straight cuts. However the another production role is shown with a close up shot on to our unknown characters foot kicking the lid of a lipstick. The scene constantly cross cuts onto iconography of a number of Elle magazines that have been vandalized, crossed out and viciously cut out. This gives the audience the impression that the character is possessing abnormal behavior and has a weird obsession with fashion magazines. The camera zoom into a cut out of a head which immediately tigers the audience as its seen as barbaric behavior. The whole scene will be accompanied by an eerie non-diegetic sound track to create tension and strain the audience to make them reconsider wanting to know who the unknown character is. Throughout the opening credits there will be cross cuts and montages into the other scenes to give the audience an insight into what they are watching. As the film credits are being presented there will be an unknown character present in the room almost getting them selves ready, as they grab iconography including a red fluffy scarf and lipstick.
In the middle of the scene the characters face wont be revealed but the audience will be able to see what the character is up to as we will be using point of view and over the shoulder shot at medium angle. This will help the audience slightly determine what gendr our character is.
